Monitoring and Evaluation

VEGA's Monitoring and Evaluation system tracks the impact of volunteer experts deployed on each VEGA project.

Over the past five years, volunteer assignments focused on building trade capacity, assisting host organizations on international trade dynamics to develop effective export skills for the U.S. market, marketing and advertising for the tourism industry, access to venture capital, strategic planning and agribusiness development. The volunteer assignments were as follows: financial services (30%), private sector development (40%), agribusiness (20%), and opportunities for rural and urban poor (10%).

What have the volunteers accomplished?

Over the five year program, FY04-FY09, volunteers executed 575 assignments in 24 countries. The value of volunteer contributions for the period was US$3,874,793.
